Inshore Fishing Report: September 26, 2024

Weather Overview:

  • Temperature: High of 87°F, mostly sunny
  • Wind: Light at 5 mph from the NW
  • Water Temperature: 85°F
  • Tides:
    • High Tide: 7:30 AM at 2.15 feet
    • Low Tide: 12:30 PM at 0.70 feet
    • Second High Tide: 6:45 PM at 2.40 feet

Inshore Fishing Overview:

  • Redfish: The redfish bite is excellent around mangroves, oyster bars, and docks. Morning and late evening bites are best with live bait like cut mullet or pinfish.
  • Snook: Active in the early morning near the beaches and passes. Night fishing around dock lights is producing great results as well.
  • Trout: Trout are being found in deeper flats (6-10 feet), especially near potholes and edges. Soft plastics and live shrimp work well in these areas.
  • Mangrove Snapper: Mangrove snapper are biting well near structures. Use small live shrimp or cut bait for the best chances.
