Offshore Fishing Report for Anna Maria Island: September 10, 2024

Good evening, offshore anglers! If you’re planning a trip tomorrow, the morning will offer great conditions, but thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon, so plan accordingly.

Weather and Conditions

  • Temperature: Highs of 87°F with partly cloudy skies early in the day.
  • Wind: Light winds at 5 mph in the morning, increasing later with approaching storms.
  • Water Temperature: A warm 84°F, ideal for keeping pelagic species active early on.

Tides and Fishing Times

  • High Tide: 8:49 AM at 2.4 feet
  • Low Tide: 3:49 PM at 0.3 feet

The best time to fish will be during the morning high tide. Middle Grounds (28°30'N, 84°00'W) is productive for grouper, snapper, and amberjack, while Egmont Key Reef (27°36.32'N, 82°45.35'W) is good for kingfish and Spanish mackerel.
